Leander (Lee) Andrew Fording was born on March 31, 1836, in Lisbon, Ohio, to Thomas Fording (age 67).
Lee married Hattie Griffith and had four sons: William, Ewen, Arthur, and Harry. Hattie passed away young, on October 25, 1882, at the age of 36. Lee raised their four boys in a hotel in Alliance, Ohio.
Lee died on December 22, 1917, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, having lived a long life of 81 years.
